Show Floor

The show floor is arranged to give cruise line buyers easy access to products and services. The 2009 Seatrade Floor Plan is segmented by product type.

Exhibitors will find the exhibition floor tailored to their businesses with specialty sectors organized by product type for easy access by cruise line buyers.

Special features include:

• Design & Refurbishment Pavilion–The design and refurbishment market involves large-scale structural alterations and complete make-overs. This pavilion brings together manufacturers and suppliers of the materials and components used by architects in the design of ship interiors. The Design pavilion provides exhibitors a dedicated area to display its products such as carpeting, fabrics, lighting, fixtures, wall panels, fittings, art and furniture.
• Destinations–With the number of new and returning passengers on the rise, the industry continues to seek ways to refresh its itineraries with exciting destinations and land-based excursions. Exhibitors promoting port destinations, tour operators/shore excursions, destination management, airports, hotels/resorts, tourist authorities/ boards, ground handlers, and cruise operators/charterers have opportunities to meet with cruise line executives involved in strategic itinerary planning.
• Information & Entertainment Technology Pavilion–How well the cruise industry equips its companies with information technology (IT) is a more important factor to increasing profitability and revenue than how much they spend. In addition, the increasing sophistication of cruise ship entertainment - one of the most often remembered cruise experiences - represents a large part of the cruise line owners' and operators' budgets. This combined pavilion features a broad array of exhibitors from sound and stage-lighting designers and manufacturers to special effects equipment and lasers to data management, telecommunications, security and computer hardware and software.
• Food and Beverage Pavilion–In 2005, cruise line purchases of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and food consumed on the cruise ships by passengers and crew totaled more than $900 million. The food and beverage pavilion offers exhibitors opportunities to showcase large quantity essentials to small quantity specialty foods. Since 2000, cruise industry expenditures with their suppliers in the United States have increased by 70% which includes smallware products like cooking appliances, utensils, flatware and china.
• National Pavilions–International companies showcase products and services in their countries' pavilions that include Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Norway, UK and more.
• Ship Equipment–The cruise industry continues to look to its suppliers for new technology and more efficiency in space, training and costs. Exhibitors with equipment for ship building and repair, safety, security, waste management, restaurant/galley, laundry, machinery, air conditioning, engines, to name a few, will meet with cruise executives directly involved in their businesses to discuss their solutions.
• Ship Services & Hotel Operations–The cruise industry continually seeks new ways to enhance and expand its passenger services. Exhibitors in this area will promote their products and services to the industry including carpet/textiles, communication/computer hardware and software, gift shop items, china/tableware/glassware/indoor and outdoor furniture/medical supplies and equipment, crew personnel, clothing/footwear/uniforms, classification/surveyors/engineers, architects/interior design, to name a few.
• Superyacht Supplier Pavilion–Super yachting is a growing industry and this pavilion is dedicated exclusively for the large yacht equipment and services companies. This growing show, co-located with Seatrade Cruise Shipping Convention, is an excellent venue for exhibitors to target the superyacht industry.
