From its early days as a collection of tabletop displays, Cruise Shipping's trade show has grown into a massive and elaborate exhibition. Ten national pavilions feature companies and destinations from Brazil, the Caribbean, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
Destinations that were increasing their cruise marketing efforts this year included British Columbia, India, Indonesia and Guatemala.
As the industry and its ships have grown more complex, specialization has created sub-industries that are represented in their own sections of the exhibition hall. Destinations, ship equipment, ship services and hotel operations, food and beverage, technology and design sections organize the massive show into manageable sections for visitors and delegates.
From new biometric security technology to automated massage chairs to the popular chocolate fountain, the array of new products on display is a testament to the business diversity and ongoing growth of the cruise shipbuilding and supply sector.
